The "Ile de Ré" benefits from an exeptional sunny climate, the number of sunny days is equivalent to the mediterranean coasts. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, and with the help of the gulf stream, we receive each year the "blue ribbon" that is awarded to the less polluted coasts of France. Esprit du Sel, directed by Mr and Mrs PELIN, contribute since 1986 to preserve and to advantage the Ile de Ré heritage which are the saltmarshes. They produce Grey Sea Salt and Fleur de Sel and have created a range of products such as flavoured salt, condiments and traditional products like the caramels with fleur de sel.

They also have elaborated an original and complete cosmetic line, BIO-SALINES Ile de Ré, made with the differents products issued from the sea : shower gel, soft cream, soap with Salicornia...
